no more crosses on these eyes

Lately I've been listening to all kinds of music to influence my drumming, particularly instrumental like rock. There is some really good instrumental rock (the new Isis and the new Maserati which is like Pink Floyd for the working man), but I have to say that I'm really liking Bloc Party and they have slowly started to influence my playing. I was introduced to them on our last tour and I think I made the guys listen to their album every other day because after the tour they asked me, "Have you had enough of Bloc Party."
Of course I said, "NO." I think I've listened to their new song about thirty times...well at least twenty. I can not wait for their new album. I've been talking to Renee about buy their album all month. I haven't been this excited about a new album in a while. Their last album "Silent Alarm" blew the hair off my head, it was awesome, the guys can vouch to that.

For all of you that are not that familiar with them...well all I can say is...what? Your missing out man, get on it and tune in, dig.

Oh yeah, the new Low is also suppose to be amazing. I got some album buying to do. There is also a new Explosions in the Sky.

2007 kicking ass.

How is everyone doing?
I've been getting ready for grad school and kind of stressed out. So much so...that I walked home from school yesterday to clear my head. Sounds crazy but it worked, there is nothing like the cool crisp air to calm the nerves. Not to mention one gets to focus on all the ideas that get filtered-out during the day.

A big thanks goes out to Mr. Noodle for inviting Renee and I to the showing of Pan's Labyrinth, great film.

That's all for now

Ideas make me smile...
